Back after a long cold night. Seems my girlfriend is still pissed because she wants to paint the apartment, and guess what. I don't. I found out about the guy who shot his girlfriend after finding out that she took over 90k from him, and lied about it. Seems he hired a PI, who found two bank accounts (1 for 30K the other for 50k), then bought a gun. No the PI, but the guy. He was a big fan of the 1960's television show "Dark Shadows"; he met his girlfriend at a Dark Shadows convention. Every few months a story makes the headlines that just takes the cake. I think I'll paint my apartment.
I am trying like hell to retool zenmatic.tv, but this Flashwork is a bear; and the headlines are distracting. For example, the vials containing samples of lethal bubonic plague reported missing from Texas Tech University had been located.
At the start of the day, I had alot to say. Now, I am run down; and looking to get home. What does it matter what you say about people anyway?- Touch of Evil

Back on the job with coffee in hand. Monday: lot's of news to digest. The Jets lost (so did Oakland), Steve Case is leaving AOL, like the 100 Billion dollars market cap that has been removed from the company's stock; and AM General is having JPM sell Hummer for nearly 1billion dollars (they paid around 200 million). Carlyle Group is said to be one of the buyers. Isn't that's the company owned by the Saudi family who share blood lines with the Osama and investments with some of the big dogs on the home team? I'm confused to be an American.
Seems, SUVs are hot right now, perhaps like lady fingers durring the French revolution. Hey, 6 mile per gallon, why now? And forget all those Rappers playing G.I. Joe; there is nothing like a real War to help build Brand Recon, right: all that free PR for the "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle," right?" It just sounds sexy, doesn't it? Humvee-- weeeeeeeee
Steve Cases 100 Billlion dollar frown on the front of the nypost.com is something else, isn't it? It's matched only by the Horseshit reason he gives for retiring to somewhere in France with all the money (over 100million). He is just looking out for the shareholders... that's his story, and I guess he is sticking to it, and nobody even blinks. Capitalism, 2003, in broad daylight.
Ron Perelman (before, when Cigars were cool) is back in the press. Christopher Byron has his teeth into Perelman's latest production" Nephros, Inc; a biotech company which according to Byron, is more like a micro cap post office box that trades Over the Counter than a company that makes something. Well, actually, if you check the site, you'll find this statement, which does not have footnotes (so don't try to look up the research that demonstrates the fact of the matter-- nevermind; the SEC's budget is small, right?): "Hemodiafiltration has made a significant positive impact on the ESRD patients who have been treated with it. Research has shown that a host of physiological maladies common to the patients on conventional hemodialysis do not manifest in hemodiafiltration patients. Patients on HDF live longer, have fewer problems associated with ß2 microglobulin and require fewer medications than their conventional hemodialysis counterparts." If Ron (after, when Cigars became not cool) is not New York's and the American Capital market's Teflon banker, than who the hell is? That is what I want to know? This morning I was singing "god bless the child" in the shower, and I don't know why.
Meanwhile, Edward Lampert, a former Goldman Sachs partner; David Geffen's banker and the second richest man in Ct was kidnapped over the weekend and returned safely today.
I was able to put tic tack toe, a calendar and a cool poker game on Zenmatic.tv... Progress is a lie.
