Ray Kelly testified yesterday that bank robberies are way up in NYC (over 350 this year). In the middle of his riff, he was notified that another bank was robbed on 144th street. Okay, some folks have an ATM, and some make their own. I think going to the bank is going to become like walking into NBC studios, but that is just me.
From the NY Post Biz section: Conrad Black, the UK subject whose publishing empire owns the Chicago Sun Times, the Jerusalem Post and the London Daily Telegraph is losing his grip on the company (Hollinger International). Investors are sour because he pays himself a salary fit for a King, like most American CEOs. The company is 15 million in the hole whit Conrad has been paid in excess of 300 million for doing such a fine job of slipping up. Richard Perle, the US Dept. Of Defense "advisor" who runs his own businesses on the side, like someone's shady uncle and Henry Kissinger, someone's shady uncle, both sit on the board of this bloated consent manufacturer. Henry Kravis wife, Marie-Josee has resigned (we suspect the board meetings conflict with Pilates classes). The company owns 23 daily newspapers.
And one last hinky thing today: The prosecution revealed that Laci Peterson's smashed hair was found on the husband's boat at his trial.
